UVC Partners invests together with the former shareholders Holtzbrinck Ventures, btov Partners, Discovery Ventures and MS & AD Ventures in the Berlin i2x, behind the MCB Lab and thus Michael Brehm. The object of the company is “software development and distribution in the field of artificial intelligence”. Last year already 5 million euros flowed into i2x. Holtzbrinck ventures now holds 24.8% of the company. btov Partners is on board with 11.8% and UVC Partners with 7.7%

babel force

EnBW New Ventures and IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft invest in the Berlin startup babelforce. The startup, led by Pierce Buckley and Christian Foerster, positions itself as a “Global Integration Platform for Communications.

Smart host

Venture Stars invests together with the former shareholders – including IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft and Atlantic Labs – in the Berlin startup Smart Host, a CRM system for hotels. The start-up company was founded in 2016 by Ilja Konoplev, who already started mbr targeting, and Julian Leitner, who most recently ran Aluna Resorts. Venture Stars now holds 11% of the company. Atlantic Labs is on board with 17.7%.

Lendis

Holtzbrinck Ventures and DN Capital invest in the Berlin startup Lendis. The young company that leases office furniture was founded in 2018 by former Boston consulting consultants Julius Bolz and Stavros Papadopoulos. Picus Capital, the investment company of Alexander Samwer, previously joined Lendis.

Miles

Spreadshirt and Flash founder Lukasz Gadowski is investing in car sharing startup Miles with WestTech Ventures and some business angels. The start-up company, formerly known as drive by, distinguishes itself from its many competitors primarily through its billing system. Unlike other car-sharing providers, only the miles actually driven, not the journey time, are billed.

Farmers Cut

The Norderstedt Schmidt Group, which includes brands such as Chiemsee, Kappa and Colorado Denim, joins Farmers Cut. The Urban Farming startup, based in Hamburg, was founded by Vapiano founder Mark Kurzilius and Isabel von Molitor. The startup competes with, among others, Infarm, which has already received 20 million euros from Balderton Capital and Co.¿

Agora innovation

High-Tech Gründerfonds invests in the Frankfurt blockchain startup Agora Innovation, developer of the platform-independent software solution IVE (Identity Verification Engine). The company was founded in 2017 by Phong Dao, Evgeny Matershev and Robert Malec. The fresh capital will be used among other things for the expansion of the team and to accelerate the market entry.

Raid Boxes

Jan Beckers, Jens Schumann, Pascal Tilgner and the High-Tech Gründerfonds are investing in the SaaS startup Raidboxes, a provider of development and administration tools for WordPress and WordPress hosting, founded in 2014 by Torben Simon Meier, Johannes Benz and Marcel Gleis. With the fresh capital, the company plans to further expand its market position and accelerate growth in other European countries.

Aero scan

¿Andrea Henkel, two-time biathlon Olympic gold medalist and participant of the current “Eternal Heroes” relay, joins Aeroscan as an investor, brand ambassador and active employee. The corporate health company, founded at the end of 2015 in Berlin, is a provider of sustainable solutions in occupational health promotion.
