A startup challenging Uber and Cabify

The startup of Daimler, the company that owns the luxury car brand Mercedes Benz, started operations in the capital on Monday

Uber, Cabify and Didi have a new competition. This is the private transportation platform Beat, which on Monday, February 18, announced the start of its operations in Mexico City.

The company’s CEO, Nikos Drandakis, assured that they are excited to start operations in this highly competitive industry, after demonstrating their experience with good results in other countries, so Mexico will not be the exception.

Beat explained in a statement that his intention is to recruit ten times more CDMX drivers than he has in other Latin American cities and make it his largest and most important market.

At present, the company has presence in the cities of Athens, Greece; Lima Peru, Santiago, Chile, Bogotá, Colombia and has plans to reach more cities in Latin America.

The startup, which is part of Daimler, the company that owns Mercedes Benz, has already set its sights on Guadalajara and Monterrey as possible future destinations to start operations in Mexico. However, this will depend on your acceptance of the CDMX.
