German Accelerator sends three Munich startups to the USA

The German Accelerator has again selected seven companies for its startup programs in New York and Silicon Valley. Among them are also three Munich startups.

At the beginning of February, the final pitches of the German Accelerator for the “Class of Summer 2019” took place in Munich. From 14 finalists, seven startups from the areas of Commerce & Advertising, Software, AR and Infrastructure were selected, which will be supported from April on their way to New York and Silicon Valley. Three of the seven winner startups are from Munich: Carly, Freework and Nordic Nutrition.

190 startups have already benefited from the German Accelerator

Carly is developing an adapter for cars, which makes it possible to read out various parameters, such as the mileage and to activate hidden functions in the on-board electronics.

Freework provides a tool that allows companies to manage the work of external freelancers. The search for freelancers is possible via Freework.

Nordic Nutrition develops and produces cannabis products from cannabidiol (CBD). In contrast to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), also obtained from Canabis, CBD does not have a psychotropic effect.

Already supported more than 190 startups

The German Accelerator has already supported more than 190 German startups during their expansion into Silicon Valley and New York. including the Munich Unicorn Celonis. In total, German Accelerator Silicon Valley and New York program participants raised $ 1.9 billion in funding. Every quarter, new tech startups are launched, which are actively supported by the teams and mentors of the German Accelerator with expertise, coaching and access to the network for at least three months on site.
