Innovations in construction: new startup fairs

Rising shortage of skilled workers is forcing construction companies to optimize their work processes and increase staff efficiency. For this purpose, startups with unconventional ideas offer innovative solutions. Their “impartiality” enables new thinking.

Whether alternative business models or automation, digital software solutions or innovative hardware – always new startups develop proposals specifically for the construction industry.

What happened last year?

Last year, these novelties were presented to the broad professional public for the first time at Tech in Construction in Berlin. Under the auspices of the Federation of the German Construction Industry (HDB), the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) with the Center of Excellence Digital Handicraft, the Fachgemeinschaft Bau Berlin-Brandenburg and the Chamber of Crafts Berlin, 44 startups from four European countries presented their solutions on 800 m².

Different focus

This year, this format will even be expanded. The TICx on May 21 in Frankfurt focuses on strategic partnerships and investments. Manufacturers and traders of the construction industry, but also institutional investors and venture capital companies have the opportunity to get to know the startups in an exclusive atmosphere.

Tickets and more information at https://www.tech-in-construction.de. Architects, civil engineers, craftsmen, contractors and others involved in construction are expected to attend the large user fair Tech in Construction on 15 and 16 November in Berlin. On 2,500 m², up to 120 international startups will present their suggestions for improvement. The tickets will be available from mid-September 2019.
