Northwest Startup event set in Winsted

Five new startup businesses or non-profits, all in different stages of development, will kick-off the event by pitching their business ideas to the audience. Once all pitches are complete, each business owner will then have an opportunity to receive small group feedback and positive suggestions from attendee mentors as the participants circulate throughout the room.

“We expect this event to be as energetic and collaborative as the previous startup events”, said Jane Williams, Workforce Development Coordinator at NCCC. “There is always a lot of energy in the room from both the businesses pitching their ideas and the audience providing the mentoring. They are very successful events with a full house and we are looking forward to this next one”.

Northwest Startup, established through the Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest Connecticut, which is based at the college, provides a support network to connect and guide new businesses in all stages of their development – from idea conception to global impact. By bringing together skilled business and industry mentors to provide support and feedback, they help business owners and their startups reach their full potential.

This event is presented by the Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest Connecticut and sponsored by TD Bank, who is generously providing refreshments for the event. John Fiorello, advisory board member of the Entrepreneurial Center and founder of the startup company, RecordME.co, will once again moderate the event.
