Why is fintech so important for banks? Bank Frick establishes a FinTech

With the newly founded DLT Markets, Bank Frick offers institutional investors professional access to the Digital Assets asset class.

Bank Frick in Liechtenstein confirms its pioneering role in the field of blockchain banking with the founding of FinTech’s The DLT Markets AG. The new subsidiary aims to provide institutional investors with professional access to multi-exchange digital token trading. For this purpose, DLT Markets is developing a globally positioned platform that combines the regulatory security of the classic securities business with the advantages of the new Digital Token asset class.

Create regulatory security

DLT Markets is designed to provide institutional clients with automated multi-exchange access without sacrificing the convenience of an EU regulated bank as a CSD – and incorporates Bank Frick, the leading financial institution in blockchain banking.

By managing order data, managing risks and managing positions, DLT Markets ensures the secure recording of assets and cash flows. The basis for this is innovative software and a globally positioned, risk-minimized platform structure. For example, DLT Markets combines the advantages of the new digital token asset class with the regulatory quality of the classic securities business.

Goal: to promote professionalization

Roger Wurzel, a recognized cryptocurrency trading expert, is the CEO of DLT Markets. Root to the strategy of the new bank Frick subsidiary:

“We are creating a unique market offer for institutional investors in the new digital token asset class. With our fully regulated platform, we are driving the professionalization of digital token and cryptocurrency trading”.

DLT Markets Business Development is headed by Markus Besler, former Blockchain project developer at Bank Frick and former co-founder of Styxchange – a cooperative providing a cloud-based interface for accounting solutions for blockchain transactions.

Focus on a financial ecosystem

Most recently, Bank Frick founded Distributed Ventures AG, a subsidiary that promotes and finances fintech and blockchain startups. For Bank Frick, the creation of DLT Markets is a further step in the development of a future-oriented financial ecosystem.

Edi Wögerer, CEO of Bank Frick, underlines the importance of the current step:

“With the founding of The DLT Markets AG, we are significantly expanding our leading position in regulated blockchain banking. With our spin-off, we offer institutional clients a unique combination of a FinTech and an EU-regulated bank. Trading and custody of digital assets go hand in hand – just like in the classic securities business”.
