ArangoDB

US investor Bow Capital and Target Partners are jointly investing $ 10 million in ArangoDB. A provider of a native multi-model database. As part of the financing round, the startup moved its headquarters from Cologne to San Francisco. The software and product development will continue to take place in Cologne. ArangoDB has already collected $ 17 million. “With the financing round, we want to expand our global customer base and double the capacity in the USA, our fastest growing market,” says co-founder Claudius Weinberger.

Xapix

Vienna based VC Speedinvest is investing $ 2 million in Mobility startup Xapix. A Berlin startup that is developing software for German automakers to connect the software systems in their vehicles. In 2016 Oliver Thamm and Christian Umbach founded Xapix in Berlin. Meanwhile, the company moved to San Francisco.

Conpend

The research and development unit of the Commerzbank group main incubator invests a six-figure sum in the Dutch startup Conpend. Fintech, which is digitizing the manual and paper-based operations in the trade finance business, was founded by Marc Smith.

Handex

High-Tech Gründerfonds, together with business angels Andrew Shaw and Ingo Saleck, is investing in HandEX. A provider for the modernization of credit and insurance processes. The platform for arranging export credits was founded in 2017 by Patrick Kupitz, Vincent Lauer and Asfandyar Malik in Hamburg. The new capital should serve the expansion of the team and the complete development of the target customer segment of German mechanical engineering by the end of the year.
