Swiss Bank cooperates with cryptocurrency startup: What is the goal?

Hypothekarbank (Hypi) has partnered with Swiss crypto asset manager TokenSuisse. The partnership will extend the Bank’s offering to blockchain and crypto currency companies.

What is Hypothekenbank?

Hypothekenbank (“Hypi”) Lenzburg, a Swiss mortgage lender, has partnered with TokenSuisse, a Swiss crypto asset manager, to expand the bank’s block-boxing and crypto-currency services offering. The latest initiative was tweeted by the bank, as well as an official TokenSuisse press release.

Hypi Lenzburg is led by CEO Marianne Wildi, a former developer who first launched the Bank’s Crypto and Block Chain Loan Assistance Program in June 2018 – a notable boost from a domestic perspective, where bank help is a big problem for the emerging sector. TokenSuisse AG is a cryptographic and blockchain-based investment advisory firm and authorized partner of TokenPay, a crypto-fiat payment company.

The goal of all this

Alain Kunz, CEO of TokenSuisse, said the partnership will strengthen the crypto-ecosystem by bringing these two innovative companies together. Kunz explained:

“We are convinced that the innovative startup like TokenSuisse with an important player like Hypi Lenzburg wants to strengthen the crypto asset and blockchain ecosystem. We are pleased to support Hypothekenbank Lenzburg in the development of new products and services for the blockchain scene”.
