Up Latin America! An Argentine startup wins the Seedstars World Award

Federico Hernández de Blended received 500 thousand dollars of investment when he beat 64 startups from around the world.

Latin America united! Federico Hernández from Argentina was the winner of the first place in the Seedstars contest for his Blended startup that connects parents with their children’s schools and between high schools.

After presenting his pitching to a hundred entrepreneurs, mentors and investors, Hernandez obtained an injection of resources worth $ 500,000 per equity to scale his business model.

“It is a great pride to have won this global startups competition and reflects the quality of entrepreneurs we have in Latin America. It has to help people who wish to be entrepreneurs to do it because there is capital willing to invest in all of us and we just have to take the risk”, said Federico Hernández, CFO and founder of Blended to Entrepreneur en Español.

Blended was one of the 12 finalist startups that were chosen from among 62 emerging market companies around the world by the Seedstars World organization in Switzerland. The Federico Hernández project is an EdTech tool (technologies for education) that seeks to boost local schools with access to all the tools and services they need in a single platform, saving time and money.
