Google plans to leave behind the use of touch screen

The Federal Communications Commission of the United States (FCC) has granted Google permission to use the Project Soli technology, which consists in controlling a mobile phone or any touch screen without having to touch it, thanks to the movement of gestures through the use of a radar.

The radar system is located on a small chip that uses the frequency band of 57- to 64-GHz, which is capable of recognizing hand gestures.

In a first phase Google plans to use Project Soli for smart watches, speakers and mobile phones. It should be noted that in 2015 the company had made this technology known.
