Google working with a startup to create a programmatic platform that connects to all media

Google has once again relied on innovation projects driven by Henneo. On this occasion, it has opted to finance the development of the startup LoVer, unified registration platform. Through which it is proposed to generate a single session start for the Spanish digital press.

The denomination LoVer comes from Local and Vertical, due to the importance of local and vertical contents.

The media, knowing the user’s intentions better, will be able to provide more personalized and quality content that will be accessed in a simple and safe way. At the same time, this platform will serve to create among publishers a common basis for payment methods and programmatic advertising on the user’s declared data.

A programmatic platform that connects to all media

The pretense is to follow the path opened by Nonio in Portugal, a unified registry platform that integrates 80% of Portuguese digital headers. “It’s the mirror we want to look in. What we want is the technological development that allows us to connect without problems to all media and each one has its own programmatic platform, simpler for the user and with individualized advantages for publishers. “, explains Miguel Madrid, chief digital officer of Henneo.

In this way, a common strategy would be drawn up between small and medium-sized publishers that would allow navigation under registration. It would be a good way after the restriction we are living with the expiration of cookies. To the media would provide vital information that could apply to payment for content, advertising, commercial products, membership, etc, highlights Madrid .

Startup LoVer is currently in the technological development phase, a stage in which it will have this funding from Google, from the sixth round of financing of the Digital News Initiative fund.

Hiberus Media Labs also have DNI financing

Google has also selected the project that Hiberus Media Labs develops together with Diario de Navarra to. Through artificial intelligence, know the interests and expectations of users who access the website of this newspaper. The information will be offered in real time to journalists to create content of greater value to their readers.

These are two projects that join three others already chosen by Google in previous rounds of financing. In previous editions with these funds, a digital video project called Nawac was financed. A big data startup called Radar and Voice 360 that allowed to integrate the voice in the journalistic process.
