Young founders present new ideas for energy supplies

Young founders show their skills at Best of X – Smart City

Young founders have developed new project ideas in workshops together with the energy supplier ENTEGA, which were verbally presented on Thursday evening (6th) in exciting duels in a boxing ring.

The Best of X Smart City event will focus on bringing together startups and established companies. The presentation in the middle of a boxing ring as a duel makes the event extraordinary and underlines their innovative thoughts.

Even the conception of the event had a result-oriented focus: ENTEGA employees worked together with eleven startups to develop new cooperative projects on smart cities and energy in interactive workshops over two days.

Away from the classic startup presentation to direct cooperation and the development of common intersections. “We did not just want to listen to the founders, but the goal was to develop innovative projects together with them and our employees directly from ideas,” explains ENTEGA CEO Dr. Ing. Marie-Luise Wolff.

The winner of the evening, vilisto GmbH, was selected by a jury consisting of Dr. Ing. Marie-Luise Wolff, Philipp Thoma, community council of the community Fischbachtal and Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Kock from the Chair of Technology and Innovation Management of the TU Darmstadt.

The winning project – intelligent, self-learning radiator thermostats – will be included in the ENTEGA startup program and further developed together. The event was organized in cooperation with the organization Founders Fight Club. This year, the digital city of Darmstadt could be won as a partner to match Smart City.
