Food logistics startup gets a large investment

fliit makes food logistics easy by communicating transportation to food producers. In concrete terms: With a technology platform, fliit networks and aggregates specialized logistics companies, thus carrying out transports for the food industry throughout Germany.

Working with Maersk, end-to-end solutions are being developed for food producers worldwide. With its competence and network in road transport and final distribution, fliit complements Maersk’s capabilities by sea.

Berliner food-Logistik Startup fliit receives 10 million euros in new capital. Investors for the Series A are the Maersk Growth Fund of the logistics giant Maersk and the fund Alstin II. In addition, investors also participate (b10, PDV, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft), in particular, the Berlin Technology Holding.

Capital for growth, development and expansion

Above all, the new capital will be used to accelerate the growth of fliit and drive the development of the digital platform. In addition, fliit will also expand abroad.

The development of fliit

Last year, fliit was able to expand its partner network to more than 200 regular transport partners, thereby covering deliveries in all parts of Germany and neighboring countries. Internally, the team, with Jan Hoberg (BCG, Harvard) as COO and another managing director, also gains experienced top management. Customers such as MSG Frucht, L’Osteria, Rewe, Landgard and Hello Fresh are already using fliit’s service and show that startup is becoming more and more resistant to traditional solutions and has the potential to reorganize the food logistics market.
