How a Berlin based software startup managed financing

The Berlin software startup Teraki has collected in a recent round of financing about two million euros which 2.3 million in dollars. In the process, a prominent investor has recently joined, Horizons Ventures from Hong Kong.

Behind the VC stands the 90 year old Chinese entrepreneur Li Ka-shing. With a fortune of $ 32.7 billion, he is ranked 28th in the Forbes ranking of the richest people in the world. He invests his capital among other things through Horizons Ventures, in Germany it also flows into the startups N26 and Wefox.

The second investor in the current round is the American Family Insurance. She also joined Teraki through her American Family Ventures fund. Only in September 2018, Berlin had collected 2.6 million euros. At that time, the US investor Paladin, GPS Ventures from Berlin and the telecom incubator Hubzu invested in the startup.

Daniel Richart and Markus Kopf founded Teraki in 2014. They develop software that filters out relevant data from large datasets. It is used in AI applications, especially in the field of autonomous driving
