The Viennese e-learning startup has expanded its business angel circle

The Viennese e-learning startup 123sonography has expanded its business angel circle. Rapid President and Ventocom boss Michael Krammer and entrepreneur Sabine Duchaczek join the startup. They complement a round of five existing business angels around Markus Ertler, who is involved as a fiduciary with 10 percent in the company. According to CEO Klaus Müller, contact to Krammer and Duchaczek was made via the existing investors.

The two new business angels again bring in a six figure amount. Markus Ertler, Hermann Futter, Martin Egger, Fabrizio Salanitri and Alfred Liebich had already invested 750,000 euros last year. The first venture capital round for the now ten year old startup company.

Series A with 4 million euros planned

The money flowed so far as a convertible loans. With the entry of the two new business angels, however, there will be an increase in equity. The fresh capital wants to put the startup in technological development and in marketing. The next major financing target 123sonography in the second half of the year. CEO Klaus Müller wants to record around 4 million euros with the Series A. And there are already concrete talks in the US and Europe.

About 123sonography

123sonography was founded in 2009 by the physician Thomas Binder. The platform offers ultrasound lessons in the form of educational videos using a freemium model. A part of the course is free, the entire course costs 700 euros in the most expensive case. Last year, the company successfully expanded into the US, where it became the market leader in this niche after acquiring an online ultrasound community.
