Three young Cologne founders are competing with Amazon, Google and Microsoft

As already briefly announced in the Deal Monitor, Endeit Capital, EnBW New Ventures, EnjoyVenture and High-Tech Gründerfonds are investing a considerable € 7 million in the Cologne startup gridscale, a provider for Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform -as-a-service solutions.

What’s been said so far

“We are very confident in the potential of the technology and the team. Gridscale has positioned itself with an innovative solution in the $ 50 billion and high-growth global IaaS and PaaS market” says Martijn Hamann, Partner at Endeit Capital.

About the company

Founded in 2014 by Henrik Hasenkamp, Michael Balser and Torsten Urbas, the company intends to use the fresh capital to “establish itself as a secure, scalable and reliable cloud service provider”. The young company is thus competing with giants like Amazon, Google and Microsoft.
