You have an AI startup? You so need to hear this news about the best facial recognition algorithms

The recently published results of the Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT 1: 1 Ongoing), carried out by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), place TECH5 as one of the leading biometric technology companies in the world.

About the positions

“The second position in the VISA category, the largest database in NIST tests, confirms our experience and excellence in biometric technologies, as well as the high quality of our research and development teams,” says Rahul Parthe, president and co-founder of TECH5 . “We continue to invest heavily in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning techniques to further improve our world class algorithms of Face, Finger and Iris. Our mission is to develop large-scale systems that address and solve real-world problems”.

The FRVT is a continuous evaluation of more than 100 facial algorithms presented by biometric technology providers around the world. NIST evaluates the algorithms by measuring their performance in the automatic recognition of facial images, while checking for errors when comparing and verifying different types of images of visa applications, as well as random photojournalism images, etc.

What is TECH 5?

TECH5 (Technology for Inclusion) is a Swiss technology company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and subsidiary offices in the United States and Asia. The company is dedicated to the design, development and distribution of large-scale identity management solutions. Its mission is to train clients to build effective and responsible digital identity management solutions ensured by biometrics and put the control of the use of identity in the hands of the authorized owner in order to facilitate inclusion in fundamental programs such as services financial and government benefit plans.

About future plans

Current projects in progress include large deployments in national identification, fintech, border control, law enforcement and surveillance. The three internally developed algorithms, Iris, Finger and Face, are listed in the NIST and have been tested in databases with more than 80 million records in global deployments. The algorithms TECH5, ABIS and the authentication platforms are commercialized through a global network of integration partners.
